This Week’s Gym Bus Adventure
(June 10th - 14th)
It’s week 1 of the Summer season and, oh boy, I’m excited!!
🦸♂️Every Summer I like to take your kiddos through lots of “Super Hero” themed skills and activities so, this week is the first Super Hero Week of the season!🎉
🦸🏻♀️ This week we are introduced to our “Super Castle” (transitional play area) where we activate our imagination and plan our super adventures + practice “flying” on the trampoline “flight simulator” 😉
With so many new friends joining us this week, we’re also learning our Super Hero “Safety Jump Landing” (called “sticking” in gymnastics) where your kiddos learn how to land safely and confidently on two firm feet.
We then take this to the “skies” on the gymnastics rings where beginning students are just introduced to the idea of swinging and landing on their feet. Note advance students get to test their limits by trying to swing and land as far as 3’ feet in front themselves! 🦹🏼♂️🦸🏻♀️👍🏼
Can’t wait to see all of your littles this week. I hope this class summary helps you to enjoy your conversations with your child following their Gym Bus Day experience.🥰
Are you feeling pumped to apply? 😉
Please do! Here’s the direct link to the application page: https://www.sandiegogymbus.com/jobs.html
Hi Gym Bus Families!
My goodness, I can’t believe Summer is approaching again already! 🚀☀️
A couple news bites about San Diego Gym Bus that you may be interested in:
✅ If your child is graduating and you’d like to save videos I’ve shared with you, you won’t be able to via your phone via Class Dojo. Instead you may do so by saving them to your desktop.☺️
✅ If your child is graduating or leaving school this month, you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll process the closure of your account as fast as I can and I’m happy to prorate, as needed, based on your leaving date.
🆕 We have SO many big ideas for implementing kindness, mindfulness, and social-emotional learning games and activities aboard in the 2019/2020 school year. Be on the lookout for more details as we begin working toward implementing these additional ways to serve you and your little ones.
💯 I was SO excited to discover yesterday that almost 100 of you have subscribed to RaisingKindness.org - a resource we plan on launching ASAP to support you on your parenting journey. 👨👩👧👧 My husband, Ian, and I can’t wait to serve you all over there too! We’ve been so eager to launch but haven’t been able to just yet because we’ve have been tied up with bigger news such as...
🔆 San Diego Gym Bus is growing and here to stay!! 🎉 Those of you who were with us last school year may recall that emissions laws made it VERY challenging to find a new Gym Bus when we discovered our old one was out of compliance (won’t bore you with more details than that at the moment 😉) Well, long story short, a new nationwide law has resulted in LOTS of buses flooding the market - making it possible for us to continue serving you for many years to come!! 😁🎉🥰 So, with that...
💟 We’re Hiring! With the expansion of serving more schools in the San Diego area, we are looking for TWO heart-centered, energetic early childhood educators interested in working with us. If you know of anyone who you think would love to do what I do and want to grow with a heart-centered business like San Diego Gym Bus, please send them my way. ❤️
That’s it for now. This week’s class summary to follow 🥰

This Week’s Adventure (June 3rd - June 7th)
With the magic of our imaginations, here’s where our adventures take us this week:💫
We’re Friendly Pirates on Treasure Island🌴 + it’s Treasure Day!💎🎉🔎
Aboard our Rainbow Pirate Ship, we passed through waters full of jellyfish and stumbled upon Treasure Island 🌴
In our explorations we discovered a magic cave full of treasure but we couldn’t just walk into the cave, we had to roll! (Forward rolls, backward rolls, and pencil rolls)
When we got to the bottom of the cave and started to fill our pockets with treasure, a magical tornado (tornado/helicopter spin activity) scooped us up and spit us out back into our ship! 😁😅
Then, we enjoyed choosing treasures from the Gym Bus Treasure Chest! 🎉
I hope this class summary helps you enjoy your child’s experience with them after work. ☺️ Enjoy!
As your little one moves on to kindergarten, you may discover that your expectations of what he should be experiencing in sports may begin to shift.
I am extremely passionate about this transition because I have personally experienced what it's like to watch my own son's motivation deteriorate in sports and hope only to prevent the same experience unfold in your own family. This wish for you prompted me to find a useful guide that may help you make the best decisions throughout your child's life in sports.
While I was on maternity leave, Coach Dillon filled in on San Diego Gym Bus. The kids LOVED the pirate story time adventures and unique flair that Coach Dillon (aka my amazingly talented coach of a husband) brought to every class. They STILL ask where "that pirate guy" is and it's been over a year! ;)
I will certainly missed those students leaving the preschool Gymnastics adventure program this Summer Season.
Enjoy this video montage of some of our many memories aboard the San Diego Gym Bus ! :)
Because some of these kiddos are moving on to kindergarten this month, I gave them the opportunity to "show off" for mom and dad. ;)
All classes have the option to choose what they'd like to do this class based on what we've done all season.
Here are some photos of this week's Gym Bus Day!
